A DUNFERMLINE childminder has managed to raise a hefty amount for charity after taking part in the Scottish Coal Carrying Championships in Kelty.
Elise Easton and pal Lynne Lindsay undertook the gruelling challenge to raise vital funds for Scottish Autism.
"I look after a boy who has autism and my nephew is non-verbal autistic so we thought we would do it for a good cause," she said.
"We started training in April. We trained in the Glen and it was good to get out and do the training. We had trained with coal but it was smaller bits.
"It was hard-going but the crowd keep you going. The amount of people cheering on were amazing – I would definitely do it again.
"It was just a great event and Scottish Autism is such a great charity. People fight for their children to get them the help they need and it is a great cause."
