The new Burger King restaurant in Halbeath has opened its doors for the first time with drive-thru services now in operation this week.

Those who want to swing by in their vehicle can pick up a Whopper between 11am-6pm.

By next week all other avenues, including service indoors, will be open from 11am-8pm, Burger King has confirmed.

The opening of a Burger King in Dunfermline has long been hotly anticipated with planning permission for the premises at Halbeath Main Street given last October.

A Costa Coffee is also being created at the site, along with three other retail units, one of which is believed to be a Greggs.

The fast-food company has created 30 new jobs for the area.

Amidst the backdrop of a challenging 12-months for the hospitality industry, the Home of the Whopper® is continuing to expand its restaurant portfolio across the UK.
