FIFE recorded seven COVID-related deaths last week.
New data from National Records of Scotland (NRS) shows that between September 13 and 19, a total of 135 people died across Scotland wherby coronavirus was mentioned on the death certificate.
Seven were recorded across the NHS Fife health board area - compared to four the week previous -, taking the total for the year to 226, with 536 deaths since the pandemic started.
It is the highest number of deaths recorded in a week since February 22, when nine people died.
