DUNFERMLINE'S new Burger King restaurant is opening next week and it will be giving away 1,000 burgers to mark the occasion.

The fast food chain is opening at Pittsburgh Retail Park on Monday, creating 30 new jobs.

The 'home of the Whopper' is set to give away 1,000 free burgers from Monday to Friday.

Between the hours of 11am and 4pm, you can get a free Whopper - a flame-grilled beef patty, topped with tomatoes, fresh cut lettuce, mayo, pickles, a swirl of ketchup, and sliced onions on a soft sesame seed bun - by downloading the Burger King app.

Once doors open, you can head to the drive-thru, show the voucher on the app titled 'Dunfermline only: Opening special’ and claim your free Whopper burger.

Between Monday and Friday, 200 will be given away each day.

Alasdair Murdoch, CEO Burger King UK, explained: “We know the people of Dunfermline love the great-tasting food of Burger King, so we’ve listened to their requests and are very excited to bring all their favourites to their neighbourhood. Our home – of the Whopper! – is their home.”

Delivery via Deliveroo is live now.

The restaurant's opening times is set to be between 11am and 10pm.
