THE situation was grave for Hillend Camera Club as it turned its focus on West Fife resting places.

The group, which started last April, tasked members with a contest titled 'Graves' and Dave Stark’s monochrome image titled ‘Wall of Graves’ was chosen as the winner.

The highly commended accolade was awarded to Bill McCance for his image titled ‘After the Apocalypse’.

Roy Green, from the club, said the relaxing of restrictions had meant they can now enjoy fortnightly meetings at the Hillend Tavern and outdoor photoshoots.

You can see their work above.

“For the fortnightly photoshoots the club has taken advantage of the darker evenings and has been out capturing car light trails on the M90 and at another, painting with light,” he explained.

“Both events were enjoyed by all who attended. Throughout September, members were working on a module called ‘Negative Space’ and in October the theme is ‘Autumn Colours’.

"Images for these and other modules are shared on the club’s Flickr Group.”

The club is the official photographic association for the Dalgety Bay and Inverkeithing area. Joining details can be found at www.hillendcc.org and on its Facebook page.

A three week membership trial is available and the club is for anyone from beginner to expert. It offers free membership to 12 to 16 year olds accompanied by an adult member.
