A DAY of Hallowe'en Punk music is to help rock up funds for Dunfermline Foodbank on Sunday.

The 10th Punkoween, put on by Yet Another Wasted Night (YAWN), will kick off in PJ Molloys from 2pm.

With a total of 13 bands set to take to the stage, organiser Jim Russell, from Rosyth, was delighted to see the fundraiser take place after restrictions meant the event had to go online last year.

“I cannot wait to get back to it properly,” he said. “We have done streams but it is definitely great to be getting back to normal and being able to hold it at PJs.

“This is the 10th one I've done. It used to be in Monty's but they don’t do gigs anymore and last year we did it as a stream so this is the first one back.

“Through the streams over the last year and a half, we have raised about £3,500 so we are hoping to raise about £1,000 next Sunday for the foodbank. There will be a fancy dress competition too.

“It is pretty much all punk bands. There are two acoustic acts, Caitlyn Day and Kyle Duffy who are on at the start. It is punk bands from all over Scotland and Face up are coming up from Coventry.”

The full line up is The Kimberly Steaks, Face Up!, Goodbye Blue Monday, The Overbites, No Matter, Dog Eared, The Manky Hoors, The Static, Delinquents, Polar Bears In Purgatory, Radio Chip Pan, Caitlin Day and Kyle Duffy.

Entry, from 2pm, is £10 and can be paid at the door.
