IT'S all fun and games at Amazon as staff celebrated the tenth anniversary of the fulfilment centre in Dunfermline.

The centre opened in 2011 and employees recently marked the 10-year milestone with a range of socially-distanced activities.

Free candyfloss and popcorn was on offer, with prize giveaways and team games also taking place to mark the decade of operations.

Since its opening, Amazon in Dunfermline has donated over £150,000 to local charities such as CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland), Aberlour and Poppy Scotland, alongside supporting various schools and children’s organisation with onsite STEM events, tours and donations.

Jamie Strain, general manager, said: "We’ve had an incredible ten years in Dunfermline, so we wanted to do something special to say thank you to the team for their dedication and mark the special occasion with a socially distanced celebration.

"It was brilliant to be able to bring together everyone who has played a part in the resounding success of Amazon in Dunfermline over the last decade, and we look forward to welcoming members of the community back into the fulfilment centre when it is safe to do so."

Simon McMahon, who has been employed at Amazon in Dunfermline since the site opened, added: “Having been employed at Amazon in Dunfermline since it opened in 2011, I can say wholeheartedly that I am proud of what we have achieved over the past decade.

"The celebrations on site have been a great way to have some fun together and recognise such an important moment in our site’s history.

"Here’s to the next ten years!"
