THEATRE-GOERS are set to have a ball when Cinderella begins for the Alhambra Theatre's annual festive panto.

Performances begin on December 15 and promise an all-star cast of stage and screen.

Fun, laughter and thrills for all the family will be on offer as the pantomime returns after the pandemic with Ian 'Sheepie' Smith taking to the Dunfermline stage as Buttons.

Sheepie has many years' pantomime experience, and has developed a loyal following everywhere he has performed with his high-energy and hilarious, madcap antics.

Taking on the title role of Cinderella, Jenny Douglas has starred in UK tour of We Will Rock You and was known for dazzling viewers on BBC's Over the Rainbow in Andrew Lloyd Webber's search for Dorothy.

Vivienne Carlyle, star of West End’s Blood Brothers and Cats, is playing the role of the Fairy Godmother while the ugly sister roles will be performed by BBC River City’s Cameron Fulton and the National Theatre of Scotland’s David Rankine.

Cameron is best known for playing Tyler Foulkes in River City, other TV credits include The Rig, which is set for release by Amazon in 2022.

David Rankine’s theatre credits include: Aladdin, Romeo and Juliet, National Theatre of Scotland Three Billion Swipes, and the UK tour of Over The Rainbow: The Eva Cassidy Story.

Matthew McKenna will play the prince. He is currently starring in Carousel at London’s Regents Park and has appeared previously in West End touring productions of shows including Legally Blonde, Starlight Express, The Phantom of the Opera, and We Will Rock You.
