It should be a lively Q&A session on Wednesday as Dunfermline fans have been given the opportunity to meet the manager and quiz the club on what has been an awful season so far.

Pars are bottom of the Championship and fighting to avoid relegation but there's fresh optimism after the first league win of the season on Saturday and the appointment of new boss John Hughes.

Supporters will hear from him and will also be able to ask questions of chairman Ross McArthur and Nick Teller, one of the club's new directors from Germany, at the meeting at East End Park.

They can also find out "what's happening in and around DAFC" at the informal event, which will be held in the Purvis Suite from 7pm and compered by radio presenter and Pars fan Steven Mill.

Last week, after announcing Hughes as the new Pars boss, sporting director Thomas Meggle had said: "There may be some questions from fans for John so we'll try to organise, as soon as possible, a meeting with all the fans to ask him questions.

"I think that's quite important as the fans will have many questions for the responsible people at the football club."

The event is free but with a room capacity of 150 it is ticket only on a first come first served basis.
