TWO watering holes in West Fife are in the running to be crowned the Kingdom's pub of the year for 2022.

The Commercial Inn, on Douglas Street in Dunfermline, and the Hillend Tavern, on the village's Main Street, are finalists in the annual competition.

It's being run by the Fife Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) and they're up against The Criterion in St Andrews, Betty Nicols in Kirkcaldy and the Albert Tavern in Freuchie.

The Hillend Tavern has won the title four times in the last five years.

They shared the accolade in 2021 with the Commercial Inn.
