A multi-vehicle crash has taken place on the A92 at Cowdenbeath this afternoon (Wednesday).

Four vehicles have been involved in the incident, believed to have happened at around 2.15pm.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received report of a four-vehicle crash on the A92 westbound at the Cowdenbeath interchange around 2.15pm on Wednesday, 24 November, 2021.

"Emergency services are in attendance and the A909 slip road is closed.”

Traffic Scotland has confirmed the following of the smash at A92 A909 Cowdenbeath-B9149 Lochgelly.

A spokesperson said: "The A92 is restricted Westbound at Cowdenbeath due to a road traffic incident.

"Motorists are advised to use caution on approach and should allow for longer than normal journey times."

Emergency services are at the scene and motorists are now facing delays post-crash, with Traffic Scotland describing traffic as "heavy" in the area.
