A WOMAN was severely injured after being thrown down a set of stairs in Blairhall.

Ryan McAlpine then assaulted two other people, punching a woman and attacking a man with a metal pole, injuring them both.

McAlpine, 24, of Poplar Street, Grangemouth, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on December 15 at an address in Blairhall, he assaulted his partner, by throwing her down a flight of stairs to her severe injury.

McAlpine then assaulted a woman by repeatedly punching her on the head, causing her to fall to the ground and threw a plant pot which hit her on the body, all to her injury.

He further admitted that he assaulted a man by repeatedly striking him on the body with a metal pole to his injury.

Sheriff Susan Duff called for reports and McAlpine will be sentenced on January 20.
