A POLICE investigation is under way after a nine-year-old boy was hit by a van in Rosyth as he walked home from school.
The youngster suffered a minor facial injury after the incident on Primrose Lane on December 1 and was taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment.
His family posted on social media: "He was struck by a white van at approximately 3.30pm.
"The van stopped, the female passenger got out and spoke to my son briefly and the van male driver drove off."
They appealed for any witnesses to come forward and added: "Does anyone have CCTV that covers this area?
"Any footage would be very helpful to improve/change the safety system on this road to prevent this happening again.
"He has a bashed face which will heal after being checked out at hospital."
