A ROSYTH pensioner has had her window smashed as concerns rise over vandalism.

Police received the report late last Friday evening and are investigating the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a window damaged at a property on Park Lea in Rosyth around 10pm on Friday, 10 December, with the incident having happened around 7pm that evening.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information can call 101, quoting incident 3518 of 10 December.”

Earlier in the year, a task force was set up to deal with anti-social behaviour in the town.

At the time, Councillor Tony Orton blamed the problem on the summer holidays and COVID restrictions, though a multi-agency task force was set up at the time to handle it.

He said, “There was a group of youngsters in Rosyth – about eight of them – who were down as being the problem children.

“They got involved with this multi-agency thing which pointed them in the direction of useful activities.

“It seemed to stop it and they were now engaged.”

In July, the Press also reported that residents of Rosyth were "‘constantly" having to tolerate bad behaviour.
