Fife Council has been hit with dozens of staff absences as coronavirus cases spike across the country.
As of Friday, December 17, a total of 223 employees were recorded as being absent from work due to a Covid related absence.
These figures include all positive diagnosed cases, symptomatic, and household symptomatic cases where employees are isolating.
This equates to 1.3% of the council headcount.
A Fife Council spokesperson confirmed that the absence rates were not affecting services right now as there were detailed contingency plans in place for teams to cover departments that are short.
A spike in covid cases is affecting businesses and organisations across the country.
ScotRail have cancelled 15 services across the Fife Circle line on Monday as staff isolate.
