WORK on 61 new homes in Wellwood is to get under way early in the new year.
Persimmon Homes North Scotland have confirmed construction on phase three of their Woodlea Park development off Main Road is set to begin after planning permission was granted in July.
The next phase will deliver a range of two- to five-bedroomed homes on a 6.467-acre site next to phase one and two development which will be accessed by a new entrance via the A823.
James MacKay, managing director at Persimmon Homes North Scotland, said: “Our decision to invest a further £13 million in such an established market is testament to our ongoing commitment to work in Dunfermline and we are delighted to be progressing with this third phase of Woodlea Park.
“It has been a hugely successful site for us and we know there is going to be strong demand in these new homes.
“Wellwood is an area where there is a real need for good-quality, affordable homes and we are pleased to be able to help people find their perfect home in such a popular location.”
