A ROSYTH man has offered a thank you to two police officers who helped his wife.
Neill Melville's wife was involved in a crash on Queensferry Road just before Christmas.
Two police officers were passing at the time and sprang into action.
Neill said: "She is shaken but she is OK.
"By the time I got down there, they had my wife sitting in the police van, she was absolutely beside herself.
"They were just absolutely amazing, they calmed her down.
"One of them was a female, PC Johnston, what an absolutely lovely lassie she was, fantastic, she really looked after my wife.
"Sometimes the police don't get the credit they deserve and I would just like to say thanks."
Sergeant Gordon Stanford, from Dalgety Bay Police Station, said: "Around 10.30am on Thursday, 23 December, two of our officers came across a crash on Queensferry Road, Rosyth, in the course of their duties.
"They quickly reported it to the area control room and ensured there were no serious injuries.
"Keeping people safe remains a top priority for all of our officers and so Constables Plentz and Johnston remained at the scene, engaging with the motorists involved, until recovery was completed at around 11.45am."
