A LEGENDARY Scottish singer is set to return to Dunfermline this weekend as part of a 19-stop anniversary tour.

Horse McDonald has named the Carnegie Hall in Dunfermline as one of the stops on her The Same Sky 30th Anniversary Tour on Saturday. The tour celebrates 30 years since her debut album 'The Same Sky' was released, rocketing her to fame.

She said: “I can’t quite believe it’s been 30 years since the release of The Same Sky. It’s going to be such a joy to mark its anniversary with this tour and to be back in front of audiences in Dunfermline will be a ‘pinch me’ moment. I can’t wait to connect with fans once again and share memories of this album with them. I’m looking forward to seeing people at the Carnegie Hall this April.”

Horse was named "one of Britain's finest singers" by Q Magazine, her well-known song, Careful, was covered by Pop Idol winner Will Young and she has toured with the likes of Tina Turner and BB King.

She has also performed with, or opened for, big names such as Robbie Williams, Sir Ian McKellen and Culture Club. Horse signed her first major record deal in the 1980s and has now released a new single, Leaving, and her eighth album is in the works.
