PLANS have been submitted for a new beauty salon in a Comrie back garden.
The proposed beauty pod will allow Beautique Aesthetics owner Lorraine Newbigging to continue to operate when she moves to her new home, having run a beauty room above her garage at her old property.
An application was submitted to Fife Council by Gateside Design, requesting permission to build the one-storey garden room at the end of the Dean Acres property.
In a planning statement submitted with the application, James G Watters, from Gateside Design, wrote: "The proposal is to erect a garden structure in the north-west corner of the site partly for the enjoyment of the occupants and partly to allow Mrs Newbigging to operate a small health care and beauty treatment business which she currently operates from her existing address in Oakley.
"The business would operate six days a week, Monday to Saturday 8.30am until 9.30pm, but with only a small amount of appointments each day. The wide operating times will allow the applicant to work around clients' working days.
"There is ample off-street parking on the site to accommodate clients as there will be no overlapping of appointments."
