A MAN from Oakley has been sentenced again for an assault on his former partner in Dunfermline.
Jason Young had been ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work but Dunfermline Sheriff Court was told he was now deemed unfit to do it.
The offence was committed between March 1 and 31, 2020 at Broomhead Drive, Dunfermline, when he assaulted his former partner by seizing her by the neck and restraining her against a door there.
In February last year, Young, of Wardlaw Way, Oakley, was sentenced to do the unpaid work.
Sheriff William Gilchrist wanted to know “what’s changed” since the time Young agreed to do the unpaid work.
Defence solicitor Calum Harris said his client was now suffering from mental health issues.
Sheriff Gilchrist revoked the order and imposed a £250 fine in its place
