AN UNHAPPY passenger stormed into the office of the Halbeath park and ride bus station.

The area is for staff only but Andrejs Luksa, from Dunfermline, went in there with his dog, ranting at a female worker.

As a result, the 38-year-old, of Golfdrum Street, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on April 16 last year at Halbeath park and ride, he entered an employee-only part of the building and shouted.

On the same day, at Dunfermline police station, he was in possession of cannabis.

Depute fiscal Catherine Stevenson said a female employee started her shift at the park and ride office at 2.30pm.

At 2.45pm she saw a male standing at the counter window when she was on the phone to another customer.

Shortly afterwards, this man, who turned out to be Luksa, walked into the office, which was off-limits to the public, with his dog.

Luksa was shouting at the woman: “I want the number, I want the number.”

It appeared he was angry after being told he could not get on a bus with his dog, added the depute.

The worker managed to get him out of the office but he went back to the counter and refused to calm down.

When she told him she was going to call the police, Luksa said: “You call. You’re in a lot of trouble lady.”

Defence solicitor Calum Harris said: “He’d been travelling from Glenrothes to Dunfermline and was in a hurry that day.

“He had tried to get on a bus at Halbeath but the first one drove off and then he was told he could not get on the next one because someone already had a dog on it.

“He seems to have lost his temper,” added the solicitor.

“He was asking for the customer service number. The incident seems to be out of character for him and he’s genuinely sorry.”

Sheriff William Gilchrist told Luksa: “This was totally inappropriate behaviour towards somebody who was simply doing their job and shouldn’t have been subjected to this.”

The sheriff imposed a fine of £270.
