JIM Leishman will continue in his role as Provost of Fife.
At the first meeting of Fife Council since the elections on May 5, it was confirmed that the Dunfermline Central Labour councillor will keep the chains of office.
The meeting is ongoing and it's still to be decided who will form the new administration, with Labour making a bid to go it alone despite returning just 20 councillors out of the 75 in the Kingdom.
The SNP are the biggest party, with 34 councillors, just four short of the 38 needed to take control on their own.
However, Labour said they won't form a coalition with the SNP while the SNP have ruled out any sort of deal with the Tories.
