A NATIONAL broadband rollout is to reach a rural Dunfermline location by the end of this year.
Residents in the Middlebank Holdings area are set to benefit from R100 Superfast Broadband by the end of December.
Councillor James Calder said: "I wrote to the Government after this was raised by a local resident in a rural area just outside of Dunfermline. While the rollout is expected to take place by the end of the year, I would urge the Government to make sure it is completed here on time.
"Once completed, it will really help residents and I believe they will receive one gigabit per second speeds – this will make a real difference.
"I will continue to monitor this to push the Government to avoid any slippage."
