ROSYTH'S Gala is set to return to the town's Public Park this weekend.
After a long two years without the event due to COVID restrictions, the event returns on Saturday.
The family occasion will feature a live wrestling performance, stilt-walkers, face-painting, inflatables and food and drink, including frozen cocktails and beer.
The gala committee is still on the hunt for volunteers to help out and is holding a public meeting tonight (Thursday) at the Walter Hay Court residents' lounge between 7-8pm for anyone who can donate their time tomorrow (Friday) or Saturday this week.
Stephen Lynas, chair, said: “The gala committee and the whole town are looking forward to our 2022 gala this Saturday. It’s been a long wait since our last gala in 2019 and you can sense the excitement in the town at the moment with lots of positive comments and feedback.
"Final preparations are under way and we have a fantastic line-up of attractions, events and activities to cater for all ages. We’re looking forward to the town coming out again together to celebrate and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for sunshine on the day!”
There is no parade this year due to the current Covid guidelines, instead the gala will kick off at 12pm. Wristbands for access to all of the gala events are on sale for £5.98 and are available to buy online at Eventbrite.
