TAILBACKS on Appin Crescent have been causing major delays for Dunfermline drivers this week.

Motorists have reported that roadworks on the busy street have caused queues between East End Park, on Halbeath Road, and Carnegie Drive.

One driver claimed he spent more than 35 minutes making his way between Sinclair Gardens roundabout and the works.

Yesterday, those stuck said police attended the scene to help guide the heavy flows of traffic.

More cars are expected on the roads this week as ScotRail have removed all Fife services from their timetable due to strike action.
