THE southbound carriageway of the M90 has been closed due to an accident.
The motorway was shut from junction 2 Masterton, affecting traffic heading towards Edinburgh.
The accident happened around 8.30am, affecting all lanes heading south, with a warning of 15 minute delays approaching the Queensferry Crossing.
Around 9.20am Traffic Scotland confirmed: "The M90 southbound at junction 2 is closed due to a road traffic incident.
"Road users are advised to use an alternative route at this time and allow extra time for their journey."
Traffic heading towards the capital will be busier than normal today with the rail strike and the Royal Highland Show taking place at Ingliston.
