THERE were major delays and traffic tailbacks after a three-vehicle smash on the M90 near Dunfermline.

Police said an accident involving two cars and a van at junction 2A – the turn-off for the A92 – happened on the northbound carriageway of the motorway yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.

Thankfully, there were no reported injuries and Traffic Scotland warned of delays of up to 30 minutes for motorists.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received reports of a three-vehicle crash, involving two cars and a van, on the M90 northbound at junction 2A around 4.10pm on Wednesday, June 22. "No-one was injured and the road was cleared around 4.50pm.”
