THE ALHAMBRA is welcoming back audiences to sold-out shows as the theatre celebrates its 100th year.
This week alone, the venue has three sell-outs and is welcoming the likes of comedian, Sarah Millican, and the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing winner, Giovanni Pernice, and judge, Anton Du Beke, to the stage.
Claire Jones, PR manger for the Alhambra, said: "We are thrilled to see audiences returning to enjoy all their favourite shows. The atmosphere at the venue has been incredible, particularly since we re-opened. This has made our centenary year all the more special."
Millican's 2022 Tour, 'Bobby Dazzler', has its first performance at the Alhambra tonight (Thursday) and then tomorrow, before Strictly's Giovanni and Anton will perform this Saturday in their show, 'Him and Me'.
In July, West End's Peppa Pig Live will keep the kids entertained (July 6-7) and the Alhambra's popular Youth Summer School will resume, allowing young performers from Fife and central Scotland to act, sing and dance themselves through a two-week course where they will learn songs and scenes from iconic shows and films such as Oliver, Annie, The Greatest Showman, Stranger Things and more.
An exciting summer line-up comes hot on the heels of performances from stars like John Bishop, Peat and Diesel, Skerryvore, Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance, Alan Carr, Firedance and Al Murray while shows from The Proclaimers, Harry Hill, Jurassic World, Crown Ballet’s Swan Lake, Artie’s Singing Kettle, Jack Dee, Supervet’s Noel Fitzpatrick, and Jimmy Carr are set to hit the stage this autumn and winter, before the Christmas Pantomime, Beauty and the Beast, which will be led by panto legend Ian ‘Sheepie’ Smith.
