Talented Inverkip pupils gave an out of this world performance to over 400 audience members at their annual school show.

Packed with humour, stunning stage settings and top tracks, youngsters at Inverkip Primary shone in their performance of 'Star Warts'.

Primary seven cast members such as Luke Warmwater, Daft Ada and Princess Nebula joined an impressive ensemble made up of primaries three to six for the excellent performance.

Youngsters did not only impress on stage but acted as crew, lighting directors, sound technicians and prop masters across the four performances from the Station Road school.

Impressed with their efforts was primary seven teacher Paul Giffney who says the youngsters 'blew him away' with their talent.

He told the Tele: "We have such talented pupils who really impressed audiences both old and young.

"They do everything from performing, singing to all the behind the scenes stuff - I'm so proud of the way they brought it all together.

"They've worked really hard on it and the production went down well with everyone who came to see it."

Over 30 roles were dished out to the talented primary pupils who have been rehearsing for their spot in the limelight since before Easter.

Paul added: "We held auditions and they were all going after certain parts, they worked really hard.

"Their comic timing is excellent and they really gave it their all.

"One of our support staff Carol McCallum made all the costumes which really brought it all together.

"It was nice to welcome back an audience too after last year having to do the show behind closed doors."
