A DALGETY BAY musician has been making noise overseas after performing for thousands in Germany.

Eve Davidson, 20, appeared in front of a huge crowd at the Immecke Festival, near Cologne, for her first gig outside of Scotland last month.

"It was amazing – so much fun," she told the Press.

"I was lucky enough to play a gig in Glasgow and from that I was pitched to the other countries.

"It was so good, it was amazing to meet people there and have that shared experience."

Eve played a 45-minute set on the festival's 'Scots Corner' before joining her University of the West of Scotland lecturer's band, The Particks, on the main stage for part of their show.

Eve thought originally that she had missed out on the opportunity after being told that the country she was to play in had chosen a different act.

"It was funny how I found out," she said.

"I got a phone call from one of the organisers when I was at work one night who said I would be playing in Germany.

"I had no idea – they had announced it on all the posters before telling anyone at the uni!

"It was quite weird when I was there to see my name on the running order."

She joined six of her other classmates for the experience which was provided by EuroGig, an initiative which gives students from the university’s music courses the opportunity to play abroad and emerging European artists the chance to perform in the UK.

"It was the first time I've played outside of Scotland and I can't rate it highly enough," Eve added.

"I added quite a few folk on social media and one offered for me to play in his home town – I am planning to go back to the festival next year so will maybe take an extra day to go there."

Eve released her first EP in March, as reported by the Press, launching the new music at the Bruce Arms in Limekilns before playing at PJ Molloy's Tiny Changes fundraiser in April.
