OFFICERS were assaulted in the line of duty in South West Fife last week.
The beat includes Aberdour, North Queensferry, Dalgety Bay, Inverkeithing, Rosyth, Blairhall, Saline, Oakley, High Valleyfield and Kincardine.
In the seven days between July 10 and 17, 196 calls were taken in the area, 26 required an immediate response, 19 crime files were recorded and 23 charges were made.
Crimes and offences included theft by shoplifting, attempted fraud, culpable and reckless conduct, threatening or abusive behaviour, and breach of a non-harassment order.
Also reported were incidents of vandalism, possession of class B drugs, assault, assault to injury, and police assault.
A total of 930 calls were made to police in South West Fife last month.
Of these, 102 required an immediate response.
