THE ALHAMBRA's two-week Summer School is now in session.
Kids from around Fife and the Central Belt are taking to the stage to learn songs and scenes from pop culture classics Annie, Oliver, The Greatest Showman and Stranger Things.
Taught by industry professionals, they will learn vital performance skills like acting, singing and dancing before showing their friends and family what they have learned over the course of the programme in an amazing performance on the Alhambra stage.
Past participants have gone on to have great success. Local attendee Megan Gardiner has toured the UK in Les Misérables and Aaron MacGregor has secured a spot studying Musical Theatre at the Royal Conservatoire in Glasgow recently.
The Alhambra Theatre Trust is dedicated to providing opportunities and experiences like this to kids looking to pursue the arts. The trust hopes that its new Ironmongers Studio will provide space and therefore opportunity for local groups to practise and perform their work while providing a dedicated area for the Alhambra Stage and Dance School.
Having this dedicated space will allow the Stage and Dance School to expand it current range of classes and host full-time training courses for youths.
