A RAF COMMANDER has been presumed dead after he went missing in Pakistan.

Wing Commander Gordon Henderson, understood to be from Dunfermline, went missing while on a British Services Mountaineering Expedition on July 19.

In a statement released by the RAF on Tuesday, July 25, they confirmed it's believed he had died.

They wrote: "The Royal Air Force is deeply saddened to announce that Wing Commander Gordon Henderson is missing believed killed on Broad Peak Mountain in Pakistan.

"Wing Commander Henderson went missing on 19 July 2022, whilst participating in the British Services Mountaineering Expedition.

"Our thoughts are with Wing Commander Henderson’s family, friends and colleagues at this dreadful time.

"We would remind you that further speculation is unhelpful, and we ask that the family’s privacy is respected."
