THERE is going to be a disaster at Fire Station Creative.

Artist David Mach is moving in his latest exhibition, ‘Communication Breakdown’, which includes depictions of explosions, crashes, expletives, and excessive consumerism.

Ian Moir, gallery curator, explained: “This exhibition is typically witty, fun and full of colour. There is an apocalyptic theme at play here too though.”

The internationally renowned Fifer, who now lives in London, was nominated for the Turner Prize in 1988 and is an elected member of the Royal Academy of Arts.

“David has an uncanny ability to tap into the zeitgeist and present us with the most beautifully crafted, meaningful artworks," said Ian.

“His imagination is a powerhouse and his recent output proves it once again.”

The exhibit opened to the public today (Friday) and will run until August 28.

All artworks are for sale and entry is free.
