A MAN who assaulted his partner in Blairhall, throwing her down stairs and causing her a severe injury, has now breached his community payback order.

Ryan McAlpine also assaulted two other people, punching his step-mum and attacking his dad with a metal pole, injuring them both.

The woman who was thrown down the stairs suffered a broken collarbone.

McAlpine, 25, of Poplar Street, Grangemouth, was put on the order at Dunfermline Sheriff Court earlier this year.

He admitted that on December 15, 2020 at an address in Blairhall, he assaulted his partner, by throwing her down a flight of stairs to her severe injury.

He then assaulted his step-mum by repeatedly punching her on the head, causing her to fall to the ground and threw a plant pot which hit her on the body, all to her injury.

McAlpine further admitted that he assaulted his dad by repeatedly striking him on the body with a metal pole to his injury.

An argument had started upstairs in the house between McAlpine and his partner over him taking Valium. He grabbed her and threw her down a full flight of stairs.

In January, McAlpine was sentenced to a community payback order with two years of supervision and participation in the Caledonian Programme for domestic offenders.

Sheriff Robert More called for reports and McAlpine will be sentenced again on September 8.
