A DALGETY BAY man who hit his dad over the head with an empty alcohol bottle has been put on a ‘tag’.
Reece Thomson, 27, of Ross Avenue, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on July 19, 2020, at Forth View, Dalgety Bay, he assaulted his dad by striking him on the head with a glass bottle to his severe injury.
Sheriff Charles Macnair imposed a nine-month restriction of liberty order.
The court was told Mr Thomson senior and others had been at a local bar in a group and then had gone to a friend’s home.
His son had also gone there and an argument started between the pair.
Reece Thomson was holding an empty WKD bottle and struck his dad over the head with it.
The victim was later taken by ambulance to the Victoria Hospital where he was found to have a 6cm by 2cm wound on the top of his head.
