DUNFERMLINE Athletic's stadium will now be called the KDM Group East End Park after the club announced a "major" partnership agreement with a Dalgety Bay-based firm.

In a first of its kind deal for the club, KDM Shopfitting Limited – who trade as KDM Group – have signed a long-term partnership with the Pars which will see extensive branding of the stadium along with a number of digital and experiential rights.

Club chairman and CEO David Cook said he was "thrilled" to announce the deepened partnership with the KDM group who have sponsored the back of the club's shirts in the past.

"As a successful, locally-based brand, who have sponsored some of the biggest football assets in Scotland, we are delighted to secure this partnership," he said.

"We are confident we can play our part in helping to grow KDM Group’s brand awareness and to showcase some of their outstanding services at the newly-branded stadium.

"In addition, Iain and Mark Jones are both Dunfermline born and bred and are well aware of the importance of the club to the local community. They understand the heritage of the club and were keen that East End Park remained a vital part of the newly-named stadium from the beginning of our discussions.

"We are all looking forward to many more great matches at KDM Group East End Park.”

KDP Group chief executive Iain Jones said: “For many years, I have supported the club and have always wanted the best for the club on and off the pitch.

"This partnership opportunity between DAFC and KDM not only gives the club some long-term commitment from a major sponsor to offer support in many ways but also gives me great personal pleasure to assist the club which is so close to my heart.”

On the pitch, the Pars announced the signing of defender Sam Fisher on a season-long loan from Dundee on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old took part in an open training session in front of season ticket-holders before speaking of his delight at linking up with his former manager, James McPake, for the season ahead.

"I got a phone call from the manager a few days ago and it has come about really quickly," he said. "As soon as I knew about the interest I wanted it done as soon as possible. I know the size of the club. I have got a few friends that are Dunfermline fans and I have worked with him (McPake) in the past and I like the way he goes about his work. He demands a lot. I want to get back working with him again. I enjoyed the time before so hopefully we can have a good season together again."

Fisher has spent time out on loan to East Kilbride and twice at Forfar in recent seasons but injury affected his spells at both clubs.

"I have had three loans. They probably haven't gone the way I wanted them to go," he said. "A lot of injuries, a couple of bad ones, a lot of niggly ones but I am feeling good the now and hopefully that continues into the season."

Fisher said promotion was his main aim for his time in West Fife.

"I want to get straight back up. I want to play as many games as I can and win games and get this club back up," he added. "I am really looking forward to it."

The centre back is McPake's fifth addition to the Dunfermline squad after adding fellow loanee Chris Mochrie last week and the Pars boss is still hoping to bring in more bodies to strengthen his squad.

"We are always working away (to get more players)," said McPake. "Everyone is working and we will continue to do that but it has got to be the right fit. It has got to be the right type, it has got to be what we are after and above all else it has to improve us and it has to be the right characters – which these two are."
