PROPOSALS which will serve up a new eatery in Dunfermline have been given the green light.
Planners said the application to change the use of premises at 17 Pilmuir Street into a cafe with a hot food takeaway will bring a vacant city-centre building back to life.
Alterations will include the the installation of two shopfronts to replace the existing one and a roller shutter door so separate entrances can be formed for the café and takeaway.
Approving the proposals, planner Jack Wilson added: "The proposed development would enable the vacant building to be brought back into use and would have no significant detrimental impact on the character and appearance of the conservation area.
"There would be no expected significant detrimental impact on the amenity of the surrounding uses in relation to noise or odour."
