A NUMBER of roads and bridges in West Fife are closed today as the Queen's coffin makes its way to the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

The coffin of the Queen, who died on Thursday, is set to depart Balmoral Castle around 10am before travelling to Aberdeen, Dundee and Perth then heading down the M90, through West Fife and over the Queensferry Crossing, which she opened in September 2017, and on to Edinburgh.

The following roads and footpaths are closed ahead of the convoy:

P539/01 Blairadam underpass.

P538/03 Kelty footbridge.

A909 Kelty overbridge.

B912 Lassodie overbridge.

C37 Cuddyhouse overbridge.

P548/01 Keirsbeath overbridge.

P550/03 Netherbeath overbridge.

A92/A907 Halbeath interchange north overbridge.

A92/A907 Halbeath interchange south overbridge.

18135 Halbeath footbridge.

P647/03 Calaismuir overbridge.

B916 Aberdour Road Duloch overbridge.

C67 Masterton overbridge.

D20 Dunfermline Wynd overbridge.

Forth Road Bridge access stairwell.

Fife Council said the closures were "to protect the public for the duration of a Royal convoy travelling on the M90".

Police Scotland will only close the roads for so long as necessary during the convoy at their discretion.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained and pedestrian access will be at the discretion of the police.
