A DUNFERMLINE bistro has closed its doors after just six months in the city centre.

Raw Pressed, on Douglas Street, opened in February, following the success of their original St Andrews business.

Richard Hamilton, who had been one of the owners, confirmed to the Press that the shop shut "a few weeks ago" due to personal reasons.

The St Andrews branch will continue to operate and has a different owner, he added.

Their social media channels don't make reference to the closure, having last mentioned the Dunfermline location on August 2.

Raw Pressed promised to offer a healthy alternative in the city with smoothies, coffee, and on-the-go food.

At the time he said their original store had been very popular with students and he believed there was a "gap in the market" in Fife.

This follows announcements that the city's only zero waste shop, Happy Earth Place, would be closing soon, and that Monty's, on Guildhall Street, would be cutting their opening hours due to high expenses.
