TROUBLE has broken out in Dunfermline city centre ahead of this afternoon's clash between the Pars and Falkirk.
Dramatic video footage (Warning: Video contains strong language) and eyewitness reports appear to show rival fans clashing near to the City Chambers.
In the disturbance, which Police Scotland said was "large", and took place around 11am, chairs and other objects were seen to be thrown.
The teams are meeting for the first time on league duty in more than three years at KDM Group East End Park, with the Pars sitting top of League One, four points ahead of their rivals.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.10am on Saturday, 17 September, police were called to the Kirkgate area of Dunfermline, following a report of a large disturbance.
"Officers attended, however there was no trace of issues on arrival.
"Enquiries are ongoing and officers remain in the area at this time."
