WEST FIFERS are being invited to attend a cost-of-living help session in Dunfermline.

MSP Shirley-Anne Somerville will be holding a special surgery next week for those concerned about rising energy bills.

She said: "I know that a lot of local households will have worries about higher costs and I think this will be a good chance for people to find out what support is available and get advice on how to reduce their outgoings.

"It's unacceptable that people could need to choose between eating and heating their home this winter – but that is the stark choice that some of our neighbours may be left with.

"Hopefully, we can provide much-needed help to those that are struggling and allow them to get their feet back on solid ground."

Ms Somerville will be joined by expert advisors from Citizens Advice and Rights Fife, Home Energy Scotland and Social Security to provide information and advice.

The surgery will be held on Friday, October 7, between 10am and 12pm at the Dell Farquharson Centre on Nethertown Broad Street.
