HERE'S the moment His Majesty King Charles III touched down in Dunfermline yesterday (Monday) for his first offical engagement as our monarch.
These photographs from Blair Cameron, who stays just down the road in Rosyth, capture the King's arrival by helicopter at Pitreavie playing fields on an overcast West Fife morning shortly before 11am.
His car was waiting at the playing fields to then transport him on the short journey along Queensferry Road, down Hospital Hill, past the wee Asda roundabout and into the city centre, where he arrived at the City Chambers with Queen Consort Camilla to declare Dunfermline a city - officially.
He gave a wave to those lucky enough to witness the historic moment at Pitreavie and there were hundreds more waiting to cheer him on his arrival in the city centre.
Don't miss this Thursday's bumper 88-page souvenir edition of the Press celebrating the historic day for Dunfermline, packed with pictures, reports and reaction - as well as your Primary 1s picture pull-out.
