AN INVERKEITHING sex offender’s disappearing act led to numerous police appeals, classing him as a ‘missing person’.
Robert Clark went AWOL for almost two years but is now behind bars.
Clark, 59, formerly of Struan Place, Inverkeithing, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court via video-link from jail.
He admitted that between October 1 and November 18, 2020, at Dunfermline police station, he failed to comply with the notification requirements of the Sexual Offences Act by failing to tell police of his current address.
Clark was jailed for 10 months recently at Tain Sheriff Court for another matter.
Sheriff Andrew Berry jailed Clark for four months to run concurrently to his current sentence.
He told Clark: “You created an even bigger hole for yourself than the one you were in.”
