A CARER has scooped a top award for her efforts at a Rosyth care home.

Stefanie Bowlzer, who works at Hilton Court, was awarded for her exceptional performance over the past year when she was named winner of care provider Meallmore Ltd's Emerging Talent Award.

The accolade recognises a member of staff who is either new to the care sector or has made a demonstrable difference since starting their role.

It celebrates an individual who has achieved something beyond their normal role requirements, shown a willingness to learn and has been a positive example to other colleagues either within their care home or across the sector.

A delighted Stefanie said: "It’s good to feel appreciated, especially as Meallmore is such a big company. At Hilton Court, there are over 50 staff members, so to be chosen out of all of them has given me a real boost.

"Meallmore is such a great company to work for. I’ve been working with them for about two years now and I’ve never felt more valued and looked after. I feel really supported at Hilton Court and it’s a great place to work.”

Gerry Hennessey, managing director of Meallmore, said: “Recognising the hard work of our staff is extremely important to everyone at Meallmore.

"These awards are all about celebrating the incredible people at our care company who have made a real difference to the lives of our residents across the country. It gives me great pride to see members of the team showcasing such commitment, and the winners are thoroughly well-deserved.

“I would like to thank our staff from all 26 of our care homes who go above and beyond every single day to provide the highest standards of care for our residents. The work they do doesn’t go unnoticed and I’m glad we can acknowledge them in this way."

Winners at the ceremony held at Dunblane Hydro were presented with a certificate, a trophy and choice of prize, which included an Apple Watch, an iPad Mini, a Samsung Galaxy Watch, a Nintendo Switch, or Beats Headphones or Beats buds.
