ADVENTURE Golf Island have hit on a tree-mendous idea to "help our customers save money and help the planet at the same time".

The Dunfermline business, at Fife Leisure Park, have already branched out and at this time of year one of their other ventures, Fife Christmas Trees, is also based there.

And they're bringing back their ‘Deliver a tree to a neighbour’ incentive.

A spokesperson explained: "Often when customers collect their Christmas tree, they have enough room in their car or on their roof rack for another tree.

"To help reduce our carbon footprint, we wanted to reduce the number of vehicles collecting trees by incentivising customers to deliver a tree to someone living local to them.

"In return, the customer receives £10 off their tree order and a gift voucher for Adventure Golf Island!

"It is great to be able to help our customers save money and help the planet at the same time."

He added: "The feedback from last year was tremendous with so many customers offering to deliver a tree.

"We hope to build on that success and reduce our carbon footprint even further.

"We have invested heavily in our computer system that allows us to minimise our delivery carbon footprint and are hoping to expand the concept in the future."
