A DUNFERMLINE pub is on the loo roll of honour again after scooping up another award for their pristine facilities.

It's no flash in the pan either as the Guildhall and Linen Exchange has now had a steady stream of prizes for their toilets.

Loo of the Year Awards inspectors made unannounced visits to thousands of lavatories across the UK and the High Street watering hole has been given platinum plus status – after similar accolades in 2018, 2020 and 2021.

Flushed with success, the manager of the Wetherspoon pub, Stephen Nesbitt, said: "We are delighted with the award.

"Staff at the pub ensure the toilets are in excellent condition at all times and it is great that this has been recognised by the inspectors."

Although not overly convenient for the desperate, it's a fair walk to the downstairs toilets when you're cross-legged, there's nothing bog standard about the pub's facilities.

Floating voters will be convinced by the décor and maintenance, cleanliness, accessibility, hand washing and drying equipment and overall management.

The Loo of the Year Awards 2022 managing director, Becky Wall, confirmed: "The toilets at the Guildhall and Linen Exchange have been designed and fitted out to a very high standard and are both clean and well maintained.

"The pub deserves its platinum plus award."

The awards are aimed at highlighting and improving standards of 'away from home' toilet provision across the UK.

All of the toilets are graded silver, gold, platinum, platinum plus or diamond with unacceptable toilets not graded at all.
