A TEENAGER who punched a former friend in Dalgety Bay has been ordered to do unpaid work.
Cameron Caird, 18, of King Street, Inverkeithing, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on January 13, at Regents Way, Dalgety Bay, he assaulted a youth by punching him on the head to his injury.
Depute fiscal Eve McKaig said the incident took place in the car park of Dalgety Parish Church at 8.45pm.
Police were contacted by the ambulance service about a disturbance in which a 17-year-old youth had been injured.
The injured youth said he and a friend had been listening to music together at the location and consuming alcohol.
They were approached by two males and Caird connected with a punch.
Defence solicitor Alan Davie said: “There was something of a history between them and comments had been made on social media. They had previously been friends. The bad blood came to the surface.”
Sheriff Wylie Robertson imposed a community payback order with 95 hours of unpaid work.
