Police have closed the road from Waggon Road in Crossford to the A985.
A CROSSFORD road is set to reopen this evening after gas repairs have been completed.
The stretch of Waggon Road towards the A985 was shut this morning with police officers turning vehicles round at the scene.
Motorists were forced to find diversions while work took place however gas distribution company SGN have confirmed that the route is due to re-open shortly.
Company Spokesperson Waseem Hanif said: "The gas escape has been repaired on Waggon Road and, all being well, the road will be reopened at 6pm."
