ATHLETIC manager James McPake has been named as the Scottish League One Glen's Manager of the Month for a second time in succession.

Having picked up the accolade for the September / October period, he has been presented with the prize for November, having steered the Pars seven points clear at the top of the table.

Having opened the month with a win at rivals Falkirk, Dunfermline also fought back from two goals down to rescue a draw with Clyde at KDM Group East End Park, and defeated Peterhead at Balmoor.

They also progressed in the SPFL Trust Trophy, with victory over Celtic B, and in the Scottish Cup, thanks to a 4-0 win over Forfar Athletic.

"When you get these awards it's because the team is winning, and that team includes everyone here at KDM Group East End Park," he said.

"There's a great togetherness at this club. The owners, the chairman, the players, the staff, the fans; it would be impossible to name everyone, but the amount everyone has given to this football club since Dave (Mackay, assistant manager) and myself have come into the building has been tremendous and this award is for everyone at Dunfermline Athletic supporting us on and off the pitch."

The Pars have lost just one of their 16 league games so far this season and Colin Matthews, CEO of Glen's owner the Loch Lomond Group, added: "It has been another significant month for everyone involved at East End Park and the fact the club now has a seven-point lead at the top of the table is a real testament to the work James McPake and his coaching staff are putting in behind the scenes at the club.

"Dunfermline were favourites for the League One title, and that in itself put a lot of pressure on everyone involved, but they have responded extremely well over the past couple of months and are putting together a strong series of results at an important stage of the season.

"My congratulations to James and everyone involved at Dunfermline Athletic on picking up the League One Glen’s Manager of the Month award for November."

We will have more from the Pars boss in tomorrow's print edition of the Press.
